Does Rofiles run on servers, pc desktop as a Windows service
Modified on Thu, 14 Aug at 5:11 PM
Yes. Rofiles is installed to run as a Windows service by default (the service is automatically installed during installation of Rofiles), so it can operate even when no user is logged in to Windows.
- Service name: "Rofiles Service".
To disable the service: open Rofiles Settings → Advanced and turn off the Windows service option (see the Advanced section in settings):
Note: Running as a service may restrict access to user-scoped resources such as mapped drives or per-user printer drivers; if you need network printer or share access when no one is logged in, run the service under a specific account that has the required permissions or adjust system-wide printer/share settings.
