On new file

  • Sound notification: enable or disable an audible alert when new files are detected, and choose a custom audio file for the notification.
  • Visual notification: enable or disable the on-screen visual alert (bottom-right of the screen).
  • XML content-only option: when enabled, Rofiles will process only the content of XML files (ignoring surrounding envelope or metadata as configured).
  • File Type Settings: open a list of file extensions that Rofiles will accept or ignore. You can disable specific extensions (for example .bat or .exe). By default many potentially dangerous extensions are blocked.

Notes and tips

  • The File Type Settings are a safety measure: keep risky extensions disabled unless you have a specific need and have verified security controls.
